Cookie Policy

Overview

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. This page explains which ones SofiaKitchen uses, why, and how to manage them.

Cookies this site uses

  • Essential. These keep the site working, for example by remembering your cookie choice. They can’t be switched off. [Confirm what your setup actually uses.]

  • Analytics. [Include only if you use analytics.] [Analytics tool] helps me understand which pages and recipes people visit. [It’s only active if you accept analytics cookies.]

  • Embedded content. Recipe pages can embed YouTube videos, which may set cookies when you play them. I use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode where possible, which limits cookies until you press play.

Your choice is remembered until you change it or clear your browser data.

Third-party cookies

Providers such as YouTube set their own cookies under their own policies, and I don’t control them. Please see their policies for details. [Add links.] Links to Instagram, TikTok, Amazon and other sites don’t set cookies on this site, but those sites have their own cookie policies once you click through. Affiliate links may use a cookie on the store’s site to record that your visit came from here.

Managing cookies

  • On this site: use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer to change your choice at any time. [Add this only if you have a cookie banner.]

  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

  • Analytics opt-out: [link or instructions for your analytics tool].

Cookies are separate from the personal information you send me. The Privacy Policy explains how I handle that.
